What beep???

Got this inexpensive thermometer last week. Hard to fault it 'cause it does what it's supposed to do but it lacks some features I wish were available. Like it says there is a soft beep when temp is recorded but must be VERY soft 'cause I've never heard it and I wish the display had a light. iProven doesn't offer these features on their basic oral thermometers but I wish they would, even if for a higher price.
