How to perform an oral fever measurement for adults and kids:

1. Before you start measuring - keep your mouth closed for about a minute, and breathe through your nose only.
2. Make sure you place the tip of the thermometer to the right or the left of your tongue root. Measuring in these so-called ‘heat pockets’ will give you the most reliable results.
3. Once you’ve placed the thermometer, click the button, and wait for the beep. 10-20  seconds, that’s all it takes!
4. To keep the thermometer clean and hygienic, make sure to thoroughly clean before and after every use.

How to perform a rectal fever measurement for your baby:

1. Please disinfect the rectal thermometer probe before use.
2. Put your baby on their back and hold their legs up with their knees at stomach height. Make sure they are secure and do not wiggle too much.
3. Carefully insert the thermometer tip into your babies rectum for a maximum of  1 inch (2cm).
4. Once you’ve placed the rectal thermometer, click the button, and wait for the beep. 10-20  seconds, that’s all it takes!
5. Gently hold the rectal thermometer until it beeps, then take it out carefully and read the temperature.
6. To keep the thermometer clean and hygienic, make sure to clean it after every use.
