The mouth-and-nose-covering masks are disposable and can only be used once. By creating a physical barrier between your mouth and nose and your immediate environment, the face masks help you to prevent spreading of an infection or virus through coughing or sneezing.

Effective Use of Disposable Face Masks:
Follow the directions from the World Health Organization** and keep the following in mind when using a face mask to ensure its effectiveness.
- Clean your hands with soapy water or disinfectant with at least 60% alcohol before and after using a face mask
- Make sure there are no gaps between your mask and your face
- Do not touch the front of your face mask
- Replace your mask immediately if it becomes damp or every 4 hours
